How to decorate your room with Valentine’s day theme with Faux flowers? Fake flower decoration and valentine floral arrangements

“Just like flowers, love only grows when taken care of”

Valentine’s day is by far my favorite holiday for its festivity and its history and is uncommonly called the Feast of Saint Valentine. It was created as a celebratory event by Pope Gelasius I in the year 496 AD to honor a Saint named Valentine who lost his life in 269 AD. This holiday depicts the emotions, love and admiration of someone for someone close to their heart.

If you have someone special in your life, you owe it to them to show your love and devotion. Let’s dive into some useful pointers and make this festivity more festive for you and your partner.

Think about the style you want to go for.

While decorating any area, either the bedroom or dinner date spot or living area for Valentine’s Day, I like to assess the style first. Meaning to say, if I am doing all this effort for my partner. so, taking their preference into consideration is important. I can further add my own element in the decoration. Some people prefer all colorful and traditional surprises, while others crave for a more sophisticated and refined look. Some like classic and stylish while others go for muted and unique. So, this would be kind of a test for you. It would really tell how well you know your partner.

Types of flower to use while decorating your place

After I have determined the style profile I want to choose, the next thing is to see what kind of flowers my dear one likes. Some are fanatics for roses (me too…!), some like lilies, others like hydrangeas. So that again is your test to know what your partner fancies and decorate the place with love using those flowers.

Color takes the spot for consideration

Valentine’s day is usually associated with red color, dashes of frequent green. But, I think we can create our own spin on Valentine’s day. I would suggest that you formulate your pattern of valentine decoration according to your lover’s choice, the color that they like. Or you can go for their choice of flowers but stick to the traditional color I.e., red. Every decor would work if you do it with full love and dedication. But if you want to stick with the color scheme then that’s super cool too.

Some more targeted approaches

Keep the Bouquets

For starters, I would go for red beautifully arranged bouquets to keep at each side table and in the dressing room. Keep it on the dressing table and a desktop, if you have one. Choose the bouquets marvelously decorated with a lovely pattern. You can also keep them in a container as well to be used as a decorative item afterward. So, you can multi-purpose your decoration. You can also decorate a corner of your room with bouquets, petals, and small decorative flowers.

Use color appropriate wreaths

Wreaths with their perfect colors paired up with lots of greenery would not only look perfect but also add a touch of freshness. This idea is perfect for people who prefer an over-the-top approach and love a more traditional style of decor. They are easy to hang on the wall and that’s it, the bigger part of your decor is done. It would also keep the surrounding tidy and clean. These wreaths would also be used in many other celebrations and events.

Decorate your room plus your gifts with flowers

Gifting an expensive box of chocolates can add to an already sweet holiday but if you could add a little something to make them even more lovely using some lovely flowers to decorate the chocolates or any gift for that matter. Better yet! I suggest turning your flowers into a gift. This would be a very unique and trendy touch to your valentine’s day surprise. Decorating your gifts with flowers would show how you went an extra mile for your partner.

Create some DIY decoration pieces

That idea would be super unique and make a statement. What you can do is, buy some faux flowers, and get some ribbons of colors you like. Tie the ribbons around a bunch of 6 flowers. Sprinkle some glitter on it. And, take a simple transparent plant container, get fairy lights, lay them over and inside the container, and place your flowers in it. This would make the pretty flowers glow with golden beams. They can be placed anywhere like a romantic valentines day lamp. You can make as many lamps like this one as you want because they would be super economical. For, you can buy one without having to go through all the effort.

Make your dinner date more romantic

A dinner date is a must part of Valentine’s day celebration because Man’s gotta eat!. If it is not romantic, then the other decorations will lose their meaning. Unfortunately, I cannot share a new dish recipe with you but I can suggest some unique ideas to make your date more romantic. Take mason jars lying around your home or an empty jam bottle. Place a faux rose on the edge and add some petals at the bottom. Place a candle inside the jar, carefully not to burn the flower. And Voila!, a trendy and cute item to place with the food. I can also see myself placing a centerpiece of faux roses in a crystal vase and placing small candles around.

Some important questions!

Why should I choose fake flowers for Valentine’s day?

Well, there are many reasons for that, first is that they won’t wilt. You won’t have to worry about the color of flowers fading after spending so much time decorating your room. Some flowers are farm-grown and can leave their color on the surfaces, that won’t be an issue with faux flowers.

How can I go get the most unique and trendy decor for this valentines day?

Wanna go for a super cool decor? Choose a unique pairing of colors. I suggest black and red. Plus, red flowers with pops of white and black. This would create a more mysterious, stylish, and up-to-date area in your place.

Are there any flower usage restrictions?

Red flowers are mostly given to the loved ones at this event. But you can try other colors too if they are in a combination of red being dominant. Other than that I wouldn’t consider using yellow or green colors alone for this event.

Other than roses If you want to try something new for decoration, I would suggest you read my article Reasons why I added Faux Lily Flowers in my home decor and places where I like to place them.
