You can also keep plants to add greenery to your place.

Add some sand and seashells in the vase

Decorating your vases with sand and seashells would give a natural twist to your place. Fill your vase with sand and place seashells randomly or make a pattern. It would not only add a new style of decoration piece but is also an economical and easy way to decorate your homes using vases.

Use vases for the shelves of the stairs

A bunch of spare jars of jam and bottles of milk can be used to decorate your stairs. Place them on the shelves of your stairs (if you have shelves on the side). Putting on the stairs can be a unique idea, but they can break and if kids are running around, it won’t be a good idea. Put flowers in them or paint them with pretty colors. Put sand in them with seashells or use glitter. The possibilities are endless.

Paint over the vases with your choice of colors

You can always bring your inner artist out and paint your vases with colors you like. Draw pretty patterns, use cute combinations, draw doodles or cartoon characters. Anything that gives you happiness, take it out on the vase and create a masterpiece to decorate your home. You can either use colors according to the surrounding area or add a contrast using different colors. Or you can save your time and buy vases with colorful pretty patterns.

Add decorations and heartfelt notes to the vases

You can use ribbons of pretty colors to decorate your vases. Tie the ribbons around the neck or below. Add glitters to make the vases shine and shimmer with light. Write some funny jokes or heartfelt notes on a piece of paper. You can either stick them on the vases or keep them inside the transparent vases. Use different colors for the written notes to add a touch of variety.

Keep your tasty treats in the vases

You can add your small treats in the vases as well. Add the gumballs, M&Ms, candies, your favorite cereals in the jars. Keep them on the table in the living room as a decoration piece with their pretty colors. And, to munch on the contents of the vases whenever you feel hungry. The natural colors of these processed food items would look awesome and keep your kids entertained.

Use vases for keeping your photos

A bit odd, but you can use your vases with rectangular, symmetrical shapes as a photo holder. You can cut the photos according to the size of your vase and keep them in it. The vases would protect your photos and make them look pretty. You can make a collage with small Mason jars to keep a collection of photos on top of the fireplace or keep them in your bedroom in case of more intimate photos. In addition to newly developed photos, you can use the vases to decorate old worn-out pictures to preserve them. You can also get them printed on the vases by an artist.

Hang vases on the walls as decorative pieces

Lightweight vases with durable materials like metals and plastic can be hung on the walls. Tie a rope or ribbon around your vases neck and hang them with a nail. Place flowers in the vases or paint them with colors according to the theme of the walls. You can keep small plants like green vines in the vases and hang them with walls, that would be an amazing sight with vines growing out of the vase.

You can use your vases and showcase them as artworks. Get them painted by an artist to transfer a good and famous painting onto the vases. Mona Lisa on a vase? Sounds like something I would want to see. Keep these vases under the properly designated light bulb to make them shine.

Using transparent vases as candle holders would be the perfect way to decorate the place and cut back on the budget. Decorate further with twinkling fairy lights to make a light show of the vase.
