How I achieve a perfect spring look with faux flowers

“Spring will come and so will happiness. Hold on. Life will get warmer” – Anita Krizzan

Spring is a high time to enjoy life to its fullest. Fresh flowers blooming and flourishing everywhere. Birds chirping on the branches of trees studded with flowers making everyone fall in love with nature. Spring is happiness and is love, spring is freshness and comfort. All the mushy and warm feelings multiply at the advent of spring. But, unfortunately, due to the reason that our planet must revolve around the giant ball of gases (sun) to support life, springs stay for a very short time. I guess that’s why it is loved so much.

Whatever the reason might be, the spring look is loved by everyone and if you can decorate your home with a spring setting you can keep spring around all year in your home. One way to achieve a spring look is to use faux flowers and plants, for their obvious advantages. Let’s dive into some tips and advice for achieving the perfect spring setting in any area of your home.

What do I look for when buying faux flowers and plants?

It might not seem that important right now, but there are some insiders about what to look for while shopping for your faux plants and flowers

1.  I look for irregularities, asymmetrical patterns. As we all know nature is perfect in its own imperfections. You can compare to check, take any two fresh flowers, and compare, they won’t ever be the same. And that’s exactly what you need to see. Flowers made artificially, pass-through mechanical presses to cut out shapes. So, look for irregularities. No bouquets should give out the appearance of a robotic pattern. Each piece is to be unique in its shape.

2.  I look for a more natural faded appearance of flowers and plants. Natural flowers are less bright than artificial and man-made flowers. So, to achieve the perfect natural element, look for a bit faded color. Don’t go for dull or drab ones too. For reference, compare with a natural flower.

3.  I also check for the strength of the flowers and plants’ stems. It is important so that the flowers don’t bend out of shape while keeping them in vases. Faux flowers are either made of cloth or plastic, the common types, with stems of metal and other sturdy material.

4.  While these pointers are pretty useful when you are buying in a store by yourself. If you are buying your flowers online, there is no way of knowing these pointers. What you can do is address these queries with customer service while placing your order. These guidelines are necessary, and no one would tell about these hidden tricks only the ones, who are confident in their products.

Colors of spring decorations according to style themes.

While spring is all about fresh colors and pretty flowers, there should be a symmetry as to what flowers to use and how to choose them. One option I find super useful is to consider my décor theme first and foremost. Because if I go with my preference of flowers, I might end up confusing the theme of my place. Some colors are specifically linked with certain style themes. So, let’s see what colors you can use for which décor style.

French décor style

French décor is more accustomed to white colors, wooden floors, and traditional kinds of furniture. Now to make your place more French I can suggest you two options. You can choose all white spring flowers, to match the walls. Or use a bouquet of bold color flowers to create an accent, a splash of unexpected colors.

Modern style décor

Modern style décor is simpler with grey, white, and black colors taking the lead. I would suggest using spring flowers to create an attractive centerpiece and get a more fun outlook. There are many beautifully set options for you to choose from.

Multi-purposing my spring wreaths.

Not only do I decorate my home with faux flowers, but also use them for many other purposes. One such example is spring wreaths.

●       I love the circular arrangement of flowers with super amazing patterns. Every single piece has its own appeal and beauty. I love the natural colors mixed with the greenery of these wreaths.

●       I also don’t have to have a designated place to keep these, I can just hang them with walls or place them at the top of the fireplace.

●       I use the same decorative wreaths for my Easter decorations. They look adorable and fit in perfectly with the Easter theme. This specific wreath is just the perfect pairing of light shades of green and blue. It would not only look good for Easter but also go well with contemporary style décor.

●       I even hang these wreaths from the wall near my Christmas trees to create my own spin on Christmas. It creates a unique piece of decoration according to my taste. Using them for winters takes me back to lovely spring seasons and I can have the best of both seasons.

●       This one depicts perfectly, the festive colors of Christmas and would look perfect in a modern-style décor.
